Tom Cruise is back in his role as Pete 'Maverick' Mitchell in Top Gun and insisted on doing all his own stunts with no CGI but that is nothing new to all our players and mentors who come back week after week to perform like true stars.  Just like Tom, who has had a number of setbacks along the way leading to injury and delays, our teams take the same knocks here and there but always get back up and fight on.

With no green screen to work with either, Joe does the Lotto draw live in front of a gallery of pictures of some of our very own stars.  Deserving of an Oscar, he hides his delight well at not having to give away a massive amount of money.  €8200 might not be enough to get Tom to come and help Joe out but it would certainly buy a lot of Cuban heels.  Joe will not be coming soon to a cinema near you but he will be on Facebook Live on Monday at 8pm giving you the opportunity to become the first winner of the Two Mile House Lotto jackpot.  You can play along on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, online, Clubzap or by clicking on the link below:

To prove he has not Lost That Lovin' Feeling, Joe did manage to give away two lucky dip draw prizes of €25 to Ed Cahill and Nathan Sherry.  Congratulations gentlemen.

Getting premiere ready, some of our juveniles have a very big day ahead of them tomorrow as they make their First Holy Communion.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you all on this very special occasion and we hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Another lady with a very big day ahead is Cassie Mallon as she plays for Kildare in the U14s All Ireland Final against Tipperary tomorrow.  We wish Cassie the very best of luck, you have done yourself, your family and your club proud.

Our U10 hurlers and footballers had a tough week this week with matches against Sarsfields and Naas respectively.  Both teams put in Top Gun performances battling wind and rain without complaint.  Well done lads! While our Senior Men got the better of Monastereven with a thrilling last minute goal. They head over to Kilcullen on Sunday morning for the next thrilling episode, we hope!

This week we see the Reserves back in action away to Leixlip on Friday evening.  The U8s, having recovered from weekend festivities will take on Ballymore on  Tuesday evening.  U12, U13 and U17 girls are all down for away matches this week. U9 hurlers are due in Kill on Sunday morning and U10 footballers travel in to Naas tomorrow.

If you are not on a guest list this week and feeling a bit left out, fear not!  The Social committee are busy putting together plans for 2 big nights out for everyone that will Take Your Breath Away 😉😂, starting with the Club BBQ on June 24th.  Keep a close eye on social media for details coming to a screen near you soon!
