An All Ireland medal winner, a league win, a goal scorer in County hurling, a win against Dublin for Kildare Minor Ladies and a whole class of First Communicants.  What a week!

We are all too aware exactly how precious an All Ireland medal is but also how difficult it is to achieve.  Cassie Mallon is now the proud owner of an All Ireland County medal but with such a great talent I would imagine it will not be her last. Congratulations Cassie, you have done yourself, your family and your club proud.

At the same time last Saturday, Eimear Reilly was doing us proud with the Minor County team beating Dublin to advance to their A Championship final in July.

Meanwhile Darragh O Boyle put the sliotar in the back of the net to help Kildare's U15 hurlers beat Clare and he didn't stop there.  Darragh went on to Captain our U15 boys to a League win last night.  The U15 boys team have had a great season, although it started out in the depths of winter dealing with bad weather, issues with fixtures, player availability and referees, they came through it all to win both the Feile and their League.  What an achievement, well done lads and congratulations to Gareth, Colm and Adrian who led the team the whole way through.

This week we look forward to the Senior Men taking on Round Towers this evening at home.  The U9 girls will follow up in the morning with a match against Ballymore.  U13 boys are at home on Sunday morning to Monastereven alongside the U10 hurlers who play Western Gaels on the top pitch.  On Thursday evening the U13 girls will take on Stafford.  On top of all of that training continues for all ages across the week.

Coaching for the coaches will take place on Sunday morning. As a club we have begun to put in place a player pathway that takes our members from U6 to adult covering everything from athletic development and skills to health and wellbeing.  Our coaches are a vital part of this and we look forward to working together to make this possible.
