It is a Strange(r) Thing that Kate Bush should manage to reach Number 1 in the music charts 37 years after first releasing Running Up That Hill but it is an even stranger thing that so many people are only discovering it for the first time.  No remix here just the result of the exposure to a wider younger audience through the soundtrack of a popular show.  Who knows, they might even discover more great music from the 80s in other unexpected places!

There will be plenty of music from the 80s, 90s, before and beyond, at the Summer BBQ next friday, June 24th, in the club.  A burger, a drink,(minerals for our underage members with something a bit stronger for those mature enough to indulge), treats for juveniles and a DJ on hand to make it a great evening, we will soon have the newer members discovering what a great night out can be had at your local club.  We will revive the tug of war competition for anyone on the pull!😉😂. Organise your team, let Deborah know, and remember it's not all about strength, balance is important.  To gauge a food order we would appreciate it if tickets could be purchased in advance online this weekend:

Putting in a strong performance last week, our U13 girls overcame the challenge put up by Raheens to reach their Division 3 final.  Congratulations to the girls, Ollie and the rest of the management involved.  The final is tomorrow in Hawkfield at 3:15pm, a ticket only affair, click below to get yours and support our young women:

The very best of luck to everyone.

The U8s and Senior Reserve teams put in good performances this week also with the Senior Reserves heading to a semi-final next weekend.  The U8s, meanwhile, are taking to the pitch on Saturday afternoon at home.

You will be spoiled for choice at the pitch this evening with the U16 boys taking on Abbey Rangers and the U17 girls, up the hill on the top pitch, in their LGFA league semi-final.  Go néirí on t-ádh libh go léir!

It is U11 girls against Ballymore on Monday evening and U9 girls versus Naas on Wednesday evening.

Of course, Joe will be in action on Monday evening with the Lotto live at 8pm. Don't Give Up, being his motto, he will once again try to off load the huge €8600 jackpot.  Gus Collins and Carolann Dowling both won €25 in the luck dip draw last week. Congratulations folks. To be in with a chance to win the €8600 jackpot, you will need to play, so click on the link below or on any of the social media sites:
