With holiday season upon us, there is a shortage of games over the next couple of weeks before it all takes off in earnest.  One big match this week is the Kildare U16 Ladies All Ireland Final that takes place in Crettyard, Co Laois on Wednesday evening, July 13th.  Our very own Heidi Lyons will be flying the flag for Two Mile House and we wish her, and her teammates, the very best of luck.  With an U14 County All Ireland medal under our belts, thanks to Cassie Mallon, already this year, we have no doubt that Heidi will continue to do herself, her family and the club proud in the match against Tipperary.  She has worked hard and it would be great if we could show our support.  Tickets can be purchased using the link below:

There was more singing and dancing at the club this week when we welcomed our friends and neighbours from the Camphill Community on Tuesday morning. They were taking part in the 5k Camphill Challenge, walking from Dunshane around the pitch and back again.  They stopped off for a cup of tea, a bit of a rest and a sing song.  It was a pleasure to welcome these very special people to the club and we look forward to having them around again.

There was only a point in it for three of our games this week. The Senior Men just saved the day, and their Division 2 status, with a last minute point, testing the hearts of everyone there but what doesn't kill you makes you stronger as they say! So we are heart ready for the beginning of the championship next week.  The Minors just lost out by a point in their high scoring match against Rathangan while the U14s got the better of Balyna by just one point.

Fixtures aren't quite as fixed as the name may imply with everyone making the most of what is forecast to be some good weather, and we hope coaches and players alike enjoy their holidays, but training does continue for those that are around and for the matches that do take place I will give an update next week.

We are hoping to have a number of clean up days in the club on the 23rd July, 20th August and 17th September, so if you are back in the office by then and need a bit of healthy exercise and fresh air in the company of your fellow members, just let me know and I'm sure we can find a task best suited to your abilities.

Joe was back in the office on Tuesday last but unfortunately, he hasn't gotten any better at giving away the jackpot.  With no winner, we now have a stash of €8800 that we are desperate to get rid of.  We can do a transfer, write a cheque or maybe even get a suitcase of cash but someone has to just pick the right four numbers.  This can be done by playing the lotto on any of the social media platforms or simply click on the link below:

Both Dara O Maitiu and Martin McKeogh won €25 in the luck dip draw, congratulations gentlemen.  At this stage Martin must be close enough to have won the jackpot but just seems to be on the team that loses by a point rather than wins by a point!  Keep going Martin, God loves a tryer!

Our Club Draw fundraiser is now under way with tickets on sale.  You can contact any member of the Committee or any coach to purchase.  One €100 ticket gets entry in to 4 draws, each with a first prize of a car and numerous other cash prizes.  This is a vital source of funding for the club and we appreciate all the support we can get.  Go raibh maith agaibh.

Enjoy the forecasted fine weather in or out of the office.
