On a hot Saturday in July they took the pitch at the start of their campaign with an air of enthusiasm and positivity. They gave their all, defending the goal, taking their scores, accepting the misses and getting on with the game. They played as team, supporting each other as the ball made it's way up field. All in all, these U6s did the club proud in their first blitz of the season.
Later in the day the U12s took part in their own grading blitz at the club. Thanks to all involved in helping out hosting the visiting teams. This year will see the U12s in full competition starting next week. With the lack of referees still an issue, Kildare Coaching and Games are running a referee's workshop in Hawkfield next Monday, July 25th at 7:30pm. The course is open to anyone over the age of 16 but you must register by this evening. Click below:

Some very exciting things to look forward to at the club over the coming weeks and months. We hope to take possession of the brand new lawnmover for the club shortly and development works are due to start on the top pitch. This is made possible thanks to the Sports Capital Grant alongside the funds raised by the club. The work is only beginning, we have a way to go, but it will mean some changes to training and matches. To help us continue this work, and advance it further, we need your help. Tickets for the Club draw are on sale, contact any member of the committee or coach to purchase. Four draws will take place over September and October with a chance to win a car in each draw.
