Summer is gone, Autumn is here. Days are getting cooler and shorter, leaves begin to change colour and fall in abundance. We may have to spend some time in dark contemplation wrapped in layers of jumpers and blankets, if some are to be believed, but we also have so much to still look forward to.

Kicking off this evening, the Manguard Plus Minor C Football Championship semi final will take place in Kilcullen at 7:30pm with Oliver Plunketts taking on Rathangan.  You can make the most of the free lighting in Kilcullen if you get out and support the lads but you may have to bring a good heavy jacket to keep warm.  €9 for Adults and €5 for Students and OAPS if you click on the link below:

The very best of luck to players and management.

Our Senior Ladies, being very energy efficient, will play their Junior B Championship Final in daylight at Hawkfield tomorrow afternoon against Milltown.  The match is on at 2:30 pm, U16s are free, tickets are required for everyone else and can be purchased using the link below:

Guaranteed to be exciting, you won't feel the chill on the sideline of this match!  Comghairdeas le gach duine agus go néirí an t-ádh libh go léir.📷📷#honthehouse #ourclubisfamily

Our Senior Reserves will sit out this weekend and warm up again for their final next Saturday, October 1st.

The heat continues with both the U16 Hurlers and U14 footballers playing their Shield semi-finals on Tuesday and Wednesday. Both matches are away with the hurlers heading to Kill and the footballers go to Castledermot.

Don't be fooled into thinking that the U8 boys were huddled together because they were cold in pictures from their match against Castledermot last week, they were just discussing tactics!  They are putting in some great performances there and certainly setting the stage for a very bright future for the club.  Our U10 and U12 girls will rise, not quite with the sun but early, on Saturday morning for their match at home against Suncroft and Eillistown.  Hot on their heels, the U9 hurlers will take on Sarsfields in the afternoon.  The U9s are out again on Tuesday evening against Grange, this time with football rather than sliothar but before that the U12 footballers will take on Castlemitchell on Sunday morning.

The Harvest moon may have come and gone but there is a full moon risin' so let's go dancing in the light! We know where the music's playin', in Killashee on October 8th with the Prickly Pears and a DJ for the Two Mile House Dinner Dance, so Let's go out and feel the night!!!  Tickets can be purchased using the link below or on any of the social media platforms.  If you want to come with a group, we can do a deal, just contact myself or Deborah on either the above email or pro.twomilehouse.kildare@gaa.ie.  Don't leave it too long or you might just miss out on a great night out with friends and we've all missed too many of those lately.

Still missing is the winner for the Two Mile House GAA lotto.  There is no doubt that a €9900 windfall would warm the cockles of anyone's heart so why not play for fun and see what happens.  On view for everyone to see, Joe will do the draw on Monday evening on Facebook live.  Last week he could be seen struggling to find a big winner having drawn out 14, 19, 24 and 31 but giving away €25 each to Carolann Dowling and Catherine Barry.  Congratulations ladies.  Save yourself time and play the lotto while purchasing your dinner dance tickets on all social media, Clubzap or just click below:
