Two Mile House GAA Club are delighted to launch a Walkathon on Friday and Saturday 16 & 17 of June. The aim is to include all Members of the Club in a fun activity and raise some badly needed funds to continue the recent development of the Club’s Facilities.

We aim to have over 20 Groups from our youngest U6 Players to our oldest Former Players & Supporters walk for an hour around the walking track from Friday afternoon through to Saturday afternoon. We plan to have fun activities run in the Club through the two days of the Event and to finish with a Summer BBQ on the Saturday evening at the end of the Walk.

We are setting each Group a Target to raise €1,500 each. Each Group will be given Sponsorship Cards for each participant to raise funds from friends, family, neighbours etc. (Although everyone will receive a Sponsorship Card, it is fine for one to be used per family). Each Group is free to raise funds in any other way they wish – car washes, bake sales, or any other fun idea a group may have. Each Group has been appointed a Group Leader and they will drive the fundraising of each individual Group.

Each Group will also be asked to contact any Corporate Sponsors they may know who may be interested in supporting the Club. We will include all Corporate Sponsors on signage in the Club for the Event, on our Social Media coverage and in our local press coverage.

We would ask all Members to please get involved to help in this fundraiser. This is the first major fundraiser we have run in 6 Years. Other than the annual Golf Classic in August, this will be the only fundraising event run in the Club this year.

As all Members can see, we are making a major push to improve the Club facilities and pitches. The Astro Turf has been a huge addition to all Members but we require more funds to complete all the Works we have planned.

In addition, the local Dunshane Camphill Community will also receive a donation from the GAA Club from the Funds raised by this Event.
